at work... slacking

i'm sitting at work right now... and i'm kinda pissed off...

the girl who opened this morning left a note for the manager about all the stuff i forgot to do when i closed last night:

- forgot to put trash bags in the garbage cans (oooh... end of the world here)

- didnt take the key out of the safe (this one is the worst, i just totally spaced on it)

- didnt take the recycling out (it was 1/4 full and i'm closing tonight... why waste the garbage bag when i can just wait til it's full... something the manager told me to do)

- didnt tamp out the espresso grinder (not a huge deal... i thought i had done it, but now that i think about it, i was about to do it when a customer came in for a drink and then i forgot to go back and finish)

- didnt count newspapers (another reason for the world to end)

- didnt wipe down the counters (completely not true... i wipe down the counters every ten seconds... i hate how it get sticky all the time.)

so yea... there were quite a few things that didnt get done... but the only important ones were the espresso grinder and the safe key.

if megan wants to be petty like that maybe i should write a little note to the mgr about how the steam wand looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days (which is gross cuz that goes in the milk for EVERYONE'S drinks), nothing was stocked for me (i had an inch of skim milk and my first customer got 2 lg skim lattes)and nothing was clean for me (you should have SEEN the customer area) when i came in this afternoon.

but i'm not petty... so i'm gonna let it slide. and i dont feel icky like i did yesterday so i'm gonna remember to do EVERYTHING today... haha... if megan m (the manager) sees i did everything right, maybe she'll just realize i had a bad night, which i did.

well, i've got a couple pots of coffee to brew so... i'll write more later

ranting here makes me feel so much better... why did i stop for so long??
